Real estate listing is an agreement between the real estate agent and the owner that gives the agent the right to sell the property on behalf of the owner, it can be any property like condo, apartment, foreclosure homes (in this case the contract will be between the bank and the agent), detached or semi detached homes and townhomes. The major components of this contract are:

 

• The offered price of the property
• The beginning date and the expiry date of the contract
• The commission of the agent, it can either be a flat rate or percentage based
• The terms at which the commission will be paid to the agent
• This agreement also allows your broker to contact other brokers to get better deal
• This contract also has a clause where an agent is allowed or not allowed to reveal the pervious offerings on the property.
